when i download any file from firefox browser there a small box that ask you if you want to from your browser to do the same action for files like the file you are downloaded automatically, i did that and i wont to retrieve the old sitting i tried to reinstall the browser but it doesn't worked! so any suggestion?

Do you notice this problem with any particular kind of file?

Firefox uses a header sent from the web server to assign actions to different types of downloads. For example, the server might send application/pdf for a PDF document or text/csv for a comma-separated values file which typically opens in a spreadsheet program. Firefox actually ignores the file extension itself, which could be .pdf, .php, .aspx or whatever.

You often can review and confirm or change these settings here:

orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Options > Applications

Edit: If the relevant file type is not listed on that tab, you might have to do the full reset in the above answer, or you might be able to delete just the particular settings file for MIME types.
