I have downloaded 6.0.2 but my info shows 5.0.1 still running. system is also very slow.
each time I try to download the newer version, it asks to replace the older but the older stays in control. what am i doing wrong. . . and why is my Mac so slow now?

What are you doing after downloading the new version? You need to install it.
