I use a content managment system Silverstripe to administer my website. I can't use Mozilla because it doesn't let me use cut and paste function,. I have to switch back to Explorer to edit my site. My web designer use Mozilla nd don't have the problem. The pages on Silverstripe even have a little box at bottom that says "text cut and paste function not allowed". This message never appears in Explorer. I installed AllowClipboard helper hoping this would help - but it hasn't.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== I started needing to cut and paste

The editor(s) in the SilverStripe CMS system seems to be based on Javascript. They also works fine for me on the CMS demo site, so this is a bit strange.

From your plugin information you sure seems to have the latest Java version, so this should not be an issue. Service information: You can always test your plugins via the Mozilla Plugin Check page to stay on the safe side. :-)

First, check that Javascript is enabled in your Firefox - article: JavaScript settings and preferences for interactive web pages. For testing that Javascript is working correctly, you can find test links and info in this in-depth article: Use the Java plugin to view interactive content on websites. This could be the issue here.

If test passes with flying colors, you may have something blocking execution of TinyMCE (which is the editor Silverstripe seems to use). You can test if it works on the TinyMCE example page.

If your Silverstripe editor still doesn't work, try starting Firefox in its Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode and test again - this will disable all extensions. If it works right in Safe Mode, you probably have some extension interfering - you can then enable the extensions one by one to find which one kills the editor.

I hope these hints solves the problem. Please let us know how above works out, and if we can be of further assistance. Detailed feedback is appreciated and helps us to help more users with similar problems.
