I just installed Firefox 64 bit that is called Namoroka. A couple of sites say "Additional plug ins are required to display all of the media on this page"; Clicking "Install missing plugin" takes me to Download Adobe Flash Player. I install it and reboot. Restarting Firefox gives me same problem asking for Adobe Flash Plyer to be installed. I check installed programs and find that Adobe Flash player is installed. I try all manner of tricks but Firefox Namoroka still doesn't recognise that Adobe Flash Player is installed.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Flash was required

User Agent

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100405 Namoroka/3.6.3

Hello Clive.

There are no 64bit versions of Adobe Flash player, so it won't work with Firefox x64.

This is very poor. More an more Systems running on 64Bits and Adobe hasn't released a 64Bit Flash Player Version yet? They should call INTEL and AMD and tell them to stop the Production of 64Bit Processors because they're not in mood to program 64Bit Software^^ That's so crummy ADOBE!!!

64 bit processors work fine with 32 bit operating systems. Adobe does have 64 bit Beta versions of Flash available for Linux, and I think Windows and Mac by now.

There is an 'experimental' beta 64bit version of flash (for Windows) which works fine for me:

Klaus ... thanks for the post. The link you've provided is still in tact and works like a champ! Something so simple and beautiful as to not have to use IE8 to browse - - cause after all who wants to browse if they can't launch adobe pdf's or adobe flash videos - - boring! - - to get my PDF's to work I had to go to Tools --> Options --> Applications and tell it to "Use Adbobe Reader 9.3 default" instead of the plugin that was managing this. Makes me wonder if Mozilla and Adobe even like each other ;-)
