Greetings:

When I enter Canva with Firefox 115.1 / W7 everything is perfect until I get to use the image editor of this platform.

Since I was getting an error message from Canva I have investigated, this has to do with WebGL

Doing a test on the page with WebGl 1, this is working.

Doing a test on the page with WebGl2, it seemed to me that it was limited.

I read the settings in config to disable performance and not overclock the hardware (I have an old Nvidia graphics card)

I enter the page again, perform the test again with WebGl2, and it appears to be working.

So far so good.

I enter Canva and now when I try to edit a photo (I previously cleared the cache and restarted Firefox) I don't even get an error message anymore and Firefox freezes.

Now (and that's why I'm writing this report) if I log into Canva with Google Chrome on the same PC, I don't have any kind of problem editing a photo. That is to say; there is not a problem with my graphics card but with Firefox.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I don't want to use Google Chrome!

Thank you.

It seems like you're mentioning issues related to using Canva with Firefox and potentially encountering problems with WebGL. Canva is a popular graphic design platform that runs in web browsers, and WebGL is a technology that allows web browsers to render 3D and 2D graphics directly within the browser without the need for plugins.

If you're facing issues with Canva and WebGL in Firefox, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the situation:

Update Firefox: Make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox. Outdated browsers can sometimes have compatibility issues with modern web technologies like WebGL.

Check WebGL Support:

Type "about:support" in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. On the page that opens, find the "Graphics" section. Check if "WebGL Renderer" and "WebGL2 Renderer" are listed and display the correct graphics card information. If you see any errors or warnings related to WebGL, it might indicate a problem with your graphics drivers or hardware. Updating your graphics drivers might help.

Greetings:

Why can I edit photos in Canva with Google Chrome and not with Firefox?

  • Please; see attached image where "WebGL2 Renderer" is activated
  • Firefox 115.1.0

Thank you.
