I used to have loads of inactive tabs and usually around 9-10 active taps and sometimes 30 tabs in total and it was all good.

Start with (I think) version 109 it when I have around 9-10 tabs (no inactive) the firefox automatically closes itself right after I start it.

Doesn't leave me any chance to even close tabs or do anything.

I tried: force stop then clear cache and still happens.

If on top of those above I also do clear recent apps, it might work.

I noticed it would work if it doesn't have the thumbnails of tabs which might imply that when it doesn't have other tabs cached it works fine.

Hi

I am sorry to hear that Firefox for Android is crashing. I hope that we can help resolve this for you. Before following the steps below, please make sure that you have updated both your Android device and Firefox for Android to the latest versions available.

As a first step, close down many of the tabs that you have open to as few as possible. Does this help reduce the incidence of a crash?

If this does not resolve the issue, open the Android Settings app, select Applications then find Firefox in the list. In the section headed "Storage", selct the option to clear the cache (do not clear data!). Does this help?

Failing that, our developers will need to look into this in more detail with some logs from inside your copy of Firefox for Android. Type about:crashes in the address bar which will display information about recent crashes. If you select the most recent "Socorro" link, a crash report will open in a new tab. If you could copy and paste the address of the page that opens into a reply to this thread, we will be able to look into this further for you.

I hope that this helps.

Thanks Paul

I tried all of these but when it start crashing you can't close tabs as it doesn't stay open that long.

But the steps below seem to work some times: 1.force stop 2. Clear cash 3. Clear recent apps

Also looking at crashes, I have this consistently happening multiple times a day (my crash log is full of it):

Ok I can confirm that this time nothing seem to help.

I am pretty sure it is related to the autofill service. Before it happens it froze on opening keyboard and now constantly crashing
