I am mainly using firefox (108 at this time) in Linux Mint and I have sync setup with some others systems (even older linux distribs with icewease and windows). I have a lot of trouble with certain sites when my profile '~/.mozilla/firefox' is loaded and my sync account is connected or not. (seems to be related to javascript or similar - some wait circles never stop and nothing is displayed) I assume I have something corrupted in the profile. If move .mozilla/firefox profile and starts from scratch those websites are working good.

But I have a lot of bookmarks and does not want to restart from scratch. I already did that one year ago and it seems it when I restore sync when the problems arise.

Any idea?

Try Firefox from Mozilla. Download, unzip, run firefox-bin from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Also, provide steps to replicate the issue.
