Hi, I am using Firefox 103.0.2 on a M1 Mac with an external sound card with multiple stereo outputs pairs (1-2, 3-4, etc.)

Whatever the system selection for default stereo output is (e.g., 3-4), firefox will systematically select the first output pair (1-2) of the external sound card. All other applications (Chrome, Safari, Music, etc.) output on the selected default stereo output (3-4)

I can see I am not the only one to face the problem but threads are hard to read and understand.

Thanks for your help! Theo

I have a simiilar problem, but now the audio gets switched to the second card anytime the sound stops playing on the webpage. it's maddening.

I've never heard of another app that had this problem.

    • never mind. restarting the sound daemon solved the problem. just a 2 second fix. sorry.
