Firefox for iOS refuses to load any website, doesn't respond at all after latest update

Hi, I just downloaded an update for Firefox for iOS (my iPhone 7 is running iOS 14.8), and the browser simply does not work anymore. No matter where I tap on the screen it refuses to respond, unless I hold the app icon on the home screen and do stuff like "open new tab" or "open latest bookmark" from there, in which case it technically does those things but still refuses to actually load the site, and still doesn't respond to my input. The address bar doesn't respond, the home button doesn't respond, the back and forward arrows don't either, and neither do the other two icons (tabs and menu). My wireless connectivity still functions (I'm able to use Safari and other apps), and my phone screen responds to input with other apps. Furthermore, I've offloaded and reinstalled the app TWICE now. How do I get Firefox to actually do anything without totally uninstalling it and reinstalling it, and thereby losing all my bookmarks?

Hi agogobell28,

We have acknowledged the issue and released a dot version to fix it. Please update your Firefox for iOS to 40.1 and let us know if the problem persists: mzl.la/3GGUXgE
