I've been using Nightly for quite a while. Lately got email announcing new Firefox for Android. Would like to switch but don't want to lose bookmarks and links stored in collections. the way I understand it the links I have stored and organized in collections are really nothing more than bookmarks in organized containers.

If I install the new Android Firefox on my tablet, will it overwrite Nightly or install separately?

Will my bookmarks and collections transfer or sync to the new Android Firefox?

What versions of Android are supported by the new Android Firefox?

You can have both Nightly and Firefox release versions installed on the same phone and they are independent of each other. Firefox for Android and Nightly support Android 5.0 and newer.

You can move over most of your information using Firefox Sync. This will move over everything but installed extensions and collections. You would need to set up these manually.
