FF 77.01 and previous versions login and password that are saved does not work correctly. When trying to login to Apple forum it will show a login name which does not show in FF "logins and password" or I have to type the whole login name before the password is recognized. The problem is it is not consistant when logging into Apple forum I may click on the login and it works or I click on login and have to enter my logiin acount. Another problem is I click on the login name and it shows 2 login names one correct the other doesn't exist in the "loging and password" field.

Why does this occur?

I can't help you any further as I am on a Windows 7 PC, and don't have access to a Mac. But I have experienced similar and had to edit saved data on a few websites to add the information / data that Firefox failed to save; plus it seemed random even within the same domain; sometimes saved and sometimes not when accessing a different login to the same top domain and problems with a lower level sub-domain, IOW a different part of the same "website" but possibly when entering a different batch of computers than may be located elsewhere.

I hope that helps you, and if not someone else here might be more helpful.

The problem i described is not only on web sites but from FF itself where it shows a login name that doesn't exist in the login & password. This is a serious security issue as the fault of an unknown login name which is not listed should never occur and where is it coming from?
