Firefox Quantum v. 65 allows the user to block "all cookies (will cause websites to break)". However, a cookie designated "marketingapis.com" continues to appear in the list of cookies whenever the browser is used. When attempting to block the cookie through the managing permissions option, the blocked cookie disappears from the list of blocked cookie list and appears in the regular cookie list whenever the browser is subsequently relaunched. I would be grateful for any advice how to prevent this cookie from reappearing.

If this is a cookie set by Firefox, information should be disclosed upfront, and users should have a method to prevent its use (or opt out) for all purposes.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Thank you for such a prompt reply and suggestion. The site you referred me to lists only Malwarebytes scanning software which I already have, and have used without success. I also do not have Adobe Flash on my MacBook Pro.

If you were thinking of other detection programs, I would welcome your suggestion.
