extension to stop webpages from loading additional crap once they are loaded
Many websites I visit, -especially ones with articles and ads- load additional content (presumably ads) at frequent intervals. You can see the activity in the status bar. The webpage is obviously requesting and loading ad content.
Is there an extension that stops all further activity once the webpage is initially loaded?
Basically what I want is an extention that makes the webpage just sit there and do nothing.

You could consider to install uBlock Origin, which should stop the loading of additional 'bleep' :
