On any web site I use that has a input text box for writing something to the site, the first time every time that I try to type something, scratchpad opens up and my begins to except what I am typing. A real pain if I don't notice it right away. I have to exit scratchpad, and then re-type what I was trying to type in the window a second time. I can't find a way to turn scratchpad of to stop this from happening. Any help please. It is such a PITA that I am thinking of using IE instead, something I am loath to do, since I really like FireFox, and have been using it for years.

You can of course do a copy and paste if the text you typed in the Scratchpad to the text area on the web page. The Scratchpad would normally only open if you press its keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+F4).

Are you sure that you do use use this shortcut key?

I have been copy/paste, but it should not be happening. And yes I am sure I am not hitting the shortcut key. It opens no matter what key I first hit, Shift, space, or any letter key.
