my HP laptop has W's7, for the first time in 2 years I ran the defrag program and the Firefox program is gone, and it will NOT re-install. Can u help me??
in the control panel, the Firefox program is GONE. I pull-up the Firefox "install" link, and click on "download" and nothing happens.
Can anyone tell me how to get it back, I hate using I.E. Thank you!

What error messages are you getting?
Hi Fred - not getting any error messages. After running the defrag program, Firefox disappeared from my taskbar, so I checked the installed programs and it had been removed.
When I go to Mozilla.org and the message, "Thanks for choosing Firefox. Your download should begin automatically. If not, click here". When I click on that link, nothing happens.
When I went to "system restore" the only time listed is 1/08 when I ran defrag program.
Hope this info helps with the solution to fix my dilemma.
