I do have a number of add-ons but have not changed anything on Firefox for quite a while, so I don't think I caused this problem. But I sure would like to get it fixed.

When I go to the Home Page, I can start keying what I want to search for but it takes 3 to 5 seconds for what I'm typing to appear. A related problem is that when what I've typed finally appears and I hit enter it does not start searching. In the past it would start searching immediately. I have to actually click on the arrow button before it begins to search. I have found if I hit the Enter key 4 or 5 times then it will start searching but it does not start if I only hit Enter once.

This is not how the Home Page used to work. I would like it to work the way it used to. Thanks so much for any help you can give.

Are you using the Firefox about:home or something else?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
