How do I set up a custom alert in either Firefox or Google? For instance, if I wanted to track media coverage of a particular athlete, news about a particular town, or El Nino. I've done this before and was able to have the relevant web link sent to my email but can't remember if it is set up from the browser or within my email. Either way I can't figure out how it is done now.

hi, this is no feature of a browser but there are web-service out there like google alerts providing such a functionality: https://support.google.com/alerts/?page=faq.html
