I want Bing.com to be my New Tab page, but does not work with New Tab Override Add-on.

Since Firefox 41 this is driving me crazy. I want to have the Bing search page as my New Tab page as I have done for quite some time. I have tried the Add-on "New Tab Override", set my Home Page as three pages that I want -- the first one being Bing.com. I click to open a new tab and I get the page that is in #2 position of my home pages instead of Bing. Just for kicks, I moved Bing to the #2 tab position and opened a new tab to see what would happen. Then it opened the first tab as it should (not Bing.) But with Bing as the first tab is just will not work. I've looked in About:config and checked things to do with the newtab url, which I have set to www.bing.com and things that I can't even remember at this point.

Please help! I know Firefox has issues with Bing's Security Certificate... Is that the problem? Thanks for any info anyone can provide!

You have the Classic Theme Restorer extension that also has this feature, so you do not need another extension.

Classic Theme Restorer includes this feature as well. In current CTR versions (1.3.9+) you find "New tab page url" in the Tabs (1) section.

Thank you SO much!! I have pulled my hair out trying to solve this mystery since Firefox 41 came out, because I really like Bing's search page. Thanks for your quick and helpful response!
