How do I update Thunderbird to the latest version?
I want to upgrade to Thunderbird 38. According to Thunderbird Help, this version should be available in May of 2015, has this version been released yet? If not, when?

According to this message on the tb-planning mailing list, the release of Thunderbird 38 was delayed, with the new release date estimated as being today.
Since there isn't a new version on the release update channel yet, I suspect that the release has gotten postponed a little longer. Although the delay is somewhat disappointing, I hope the wait will be worthwhile.
