I have recently been having problems with the Zotero plugin for Firefox not being able to save reference links from Google Scholar. In trying to resolve the problem I have found that I cannot get Google to save my site preferences for some reason. It seems to be an issue with cookies since the latest update (Firefox for Mac 37.0.2) but a friend on Windows 7 is experiencing exactly the same problem with Zotero. Google scholar settings (http://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar_settings?sciifh=1&hl=en&as_sdt=0,5) won't allow any of the options to be changed and saved for some reason. I have been through all the troubleshooting steps of enabling all cookies, clearing the cache, restarting, etc.

That is beyond the scope of this forum. Unless another Zotero user can help you here ....

Have you tried the Zotero support fora? https://forums.zotero.org/categories/ Or maybe that is a feature that is added to Zotero by another Addon? Like possibly this one? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/zotero-scholar-citations/

Regardless, it is up to the developers of add-ons to support their add-on.

Thanks for the reply. I think I may not have explained my question clearly. I suspected it was a Firefox problem, as I was struggling to save Google Scholar preferences in Firefox. I tried a different browser and did not experience these issues, either with saving preferences or with the Zotero app and Google Scholar. However, I suspect it is a Google/Zotero issue rather. So, in the end, yes, probably not relevant here.
