I cannot get Firefox to download PDF files from my financial institutions. I get a page 'about: blank". Yes, I have set my pdfs to download in Adobe Reader. Yes, I have the latest Adobe update. Now what?

This function works just fine in Safari, but I like being able to Foxfire feature 'clear recent history' after using a financial website (Bank, credit card, brokerage, etc.)

Sorry, none of that worked. Its very frustrating. Also, since the last upgrade, which seems almost automatic, half of the icons for my bookmarks and actual websites have disappeared. I haven't upgraded to Mac OS Lion, is that part of these problems?
