My computer updates automatically during the night. This morning, the online connection started running slower and slower. Restarting the computer didn't make any difference. A security warning at Firefox support mentioned a problem with Flash, but testing at the Adobe site said that my version is OK.

Did any security software (firewall, anti-virus) update ?

If that happened then you may need to reset the Firefox setting in those programs.

The speed of Firefox seems OK now. Maybe the updates just needed time to percolate into the whole system. Your note about security updates is valuable, and I'll check on update status. Would be nice to have automatic questions about these things, but that's another issue, isn't it?

I appreciate your attention!
