Over the last couple of days, a white box is covering the bottom of my firefox browser. It almost completely blocks the Find feature when active. Interestingly, it only appears if it's in full screen mode, and only if it's on the monitor without the windows taskbar. If you make the size of the browser to fill the screen (without maximizing it directly), it's fine, but the moment it goes corner to corner, the white bar appears. Reinstalling, uninstalling and installing fresh, have had no effect. Effects private browser, and "safe mode browser" withotu add ons. Would be nice if we could fix this.

I would still think that it has something to do with an extension or possibly hardware acceleration.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Try to rename/remove the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder.
