I have installed Thunderbird on a new computer and successfully set up one of my email accounts. When I try to set up another account, I get a message saying user name or password not recognised. I can get into this account using the BT webmail and thus know I have the correct password. Any ideas?

Are you sure to have entered your full email address for the username, and all other settings are like they are on this page?

Also, did you check this page and could there be an additional setting in your webmail interface to enable remote access by an email client (either POP or IMAP) that is not mentioned there?
