Only recently, Firefox has started asking for a Master Password. I've ised Mozilla products since all you had was Netscape, and NOTHING ever asked for a Master Password, nor have I ever entered one. SO WHAT GIVES??? Want to know something more? write me at edrybaaudio@gmail.com

Are you using Sync to sync any data?

Does Firefox ask for the master password if you open the Password Manager?

  • Options/Preferences -> Security: Logins: "Saved Logins" -> "Show Passwords"

If you have never set a master password yourself then try to reset the master password.
