VRBO and Airbnb websites being blocked in log-in

more options

Good morning. We have had an issue with these two rental websites no longer working even at the point of log-in (especially VRBO) as a Host or owner. Even after dumping cache and cookies (like 3 times we cleared the cache, etc), there is no change. We had to start using Edge... (which we despise). Please look for a remedy.

The blockage is just a recycle of the log-in page after entering user/passw. It empties the user ID and refreshes the page. We try again with the same result.

The wife uses Chrome on her Chromebook and it doesn't have the blockage or issue... works okay.

Thank you.

One possible reason is when the login server has a slightly different address than the content server. Firefox recently rolled out "Total Cookie Protection" to more users. This limits how sites can use "third party" or "cross-site" cookies, meaning cookies from different websites than the one you see in the address bar. Some sites pass you back and forth between different servers during login because they have their services spread out over a number of different servers. In those cases, you might be able to submit a form successfully on one page and then the next page says you are not logged in. Frustrating!

You can make exceptions to this feature when needed (for each server that you visit as part of the process of using this company's services). More info in the following articles:

Any difference?
