i tried to import a csv file from outlook.com to thunderbird, and all the values are in the wrong fields. E-mail addresses and names of every contact are in the wrong fields. For instance, if I have 100 contacts, I have to edit them individually in Thunderbird after importing the file. This is not helpful. Is there a way to convert the file so I don't have to do this? Please advise.

i can try to go through wikipedia. i do not understand some of this language. I understand that editing notepad would likely remove fields, and something like that, but I am not sure how clean it will be in Thunderbird.

I think that trying to learn different ways that something is programmed (despite being able to edit it in notepad), still requires comparing placement of the values. I may have looked at it prior, but I will look at the file, and try to find the information, and see if it helps me. strings of values can become complex when not understanding them.
