I use TB on my PCs. Bluehost did maintenance this morn. Now I can't get email. I get them on my iPhone. I removed the account my PC and tried to add it back, but TB connecting.

Help

1. Is Thunderbird blocking Bluehost Thunderbird is an e-mail program. Or an "e-mail client" using the latest terminology. It can send and receive e-mail messages through an e-mail server on the Internet. It will not block any e-mail server, like Bluehost for example.

2. Bluehost did maintenance this morn. Now I can't get email. You have established that Bluehost did something, and now you have a problem with Thunderbird getting your e-mail.

The problem may be temporary while Bluehost sorts things out, or it could be that Bluehost changed something, and that change needs to be reflected in the settings Thunderbird uses to connect to Bluehost.

3. I get them on my iPhone. Given the unknown changes that Bluehost could have made, and that I do not know how the iPhone e-mail app works, I am unable to explain this.

4. I removed the account my PC and tried to add it back, but TB connecting. I'm sorry, but this sentence does not make sense. If Thunderbird is connecting, then what is the problem?

Ultimately, what I believe you need to do is to make sure that the e-mail server settings for your e-mail account set in Thunderbird are what Bluehost says they should be.

I found this webpage on Bluehost that might help you, but that will depend on if the information Bluehost has there is correct.

Use those e-mail server settings in Thunderbird:

In Thunderbird, Thunderbird menu: Tools: Account Settings (If you cannot see the Thunderbird menu, press the Alt key or F10 key on your keyboard to show the menu)

For incoming e-mail: Select "Server Settings" on the left side under your e-mail account, and the settings are on the right side.

For outgoing e-mail: Select "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" on the left side, then select the server you want on the right side. Click the "Edit" button to change the settings.
