I just bought a new imac (late 2012- 10.8.4), After migrating everything from my old imac (Early 2008 - 10.6.?), the video on my business website is no longer showing as before. (See: http://www.abhyasayogacenter.com). All the software in question is updated to the latest versions. I am wondering why the same software that was working on my previous computer is not working the same on the new one. And more importantly, is there a compatibility issue here with web page code. Everything was working on the latest version of Firefox 22 on my other computer. Why wouldn't it be working the same on my new computer? Is this true for all new imacs or just mine?

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Unfortunately, Reset Firefox did not solve the problem. I just don't get it. I have both the old and new computers running the same exact Firefox 22 software and yet they give different output?

Did you instal the latest QuickTime version?

Some older QT versions will probably be disabled.
You can check that in "Tools > Add-ons > > Plugins"

You can also check in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ to see if there are conflicting plugins.
