I can't create a home page.

Once i open the browser and set it it work. Then i shut the browser down and open it again and it won't go to the home page i set it for but comes up with something else. A holding page about my website page of which i do not have one of.

This could be something like a toolbar or other extension. First, set a homepage in firefox, and close it. Next try starting firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to stop all extensions from loading.
