When I use Firefox it doesn't remember any pages. I checked in options to make sure it was set to remember history, and also tried reseting it. When I open show all history entire list is empty. Bookmarks list is still fine, and it still remembers closed tabs, but nothing is stored in history.

Try to delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.

Creating a new profile worked. I found there was also a places.sqlite.corrupt file in the profile folder along with places.sqlite one.
