Try using Open Containing Folder and then try to open that file from the folder you saved it to.

If open is grayed then that would indicate that the files are no longer in that location. A possible cause is cleanup or security software that has removed the files.

The downloaded files are listed in the downloaded files window but when you click to open them nothing happens.

If Open and Open Containing Folder in the right-click context menu are grayed then that means that the files are no longer in the original down;load location. If it worked directly after downloading then test if it still work if you close and restart Firefox.
