I am told the files are there, transferable, and all the general efforts are not working, like the Import wizard, o the Windows Transfer wizard. I am loosing my mind trying to figure this out as there is tons of info I need in there. Anyone have a solution??

Can you find your profile directory in your backup data? Look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_how-to-find-your-profile and then try to find a corresponding profile in the backup. Once you have that, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles to switch to the other profile. If that all works, you can either continue to switch back and forth, or you could export your mail from the backup and import it to the new/current one.

There is an add-on to TB which allows import and export of emails in various formats to a separate storage medium (external disk, thumb drive, etc.).

The instructions on how to download and install it can be found at http://barryduggan.info/exportMail.php

Let me know how that works out.
