Currently there is no built-in Register link because the whole reason users come here is to Ask a Question. Ideally, users would click the "Ask a Question" link at the top and when they reach a certain point, the site asks you to register for an account before it can be posted. There is a bug filed for this but I can't find it. I know it's there though.
