After following the instructions at this website about restoring icons to bookmarks in 9.0.1 update, only some of the icons appeared. Some bookmarks still do not have icons. (It may be that they did not have icons before the update, but I'm not sure.)

Maybe the following thread would be helpful: When the latest update to Firefox installed, the icons next to the bookmarks disappeared. Is there a way to get them back?

Actually I did already follow that thread and got only SOME of icons back. I am still wondering why I didn't get all the icons.

Try to restore the favicons with the CheckPlaces extension.
