I have four email accounts on Thunderbird. One is IMAP and three are POP. Yesterday the three POP accounts stopped receiving emails (the IMAP account is working perfectly). They can, however, send emails. All three accounts have web mail availability and web mail works fine for all three and the passwords have not changed. All four accounts use the same outgoing server (that of two of the POP accounts: smtp.comcast.net).

Thunderbird version is 38.5.1 and is set for automatic updates that I always accept.

Any ideas?

Hmm, Norton's anti virus does not scan IMAP mail accounts, but it does POP accounts. Are you using Norton's anti virus by any chance?

I am using Norton. Somehow the problem resolved itself today.
