For the past month or so I have had errors logging into my work email (which uses office 365) with thunderbird. Occasionally when I hit send I get a password error; if I try to re-enter the password Ii get the same error, but if I hit cancel the message sends. But it doesn't send reliably--although the message always appears in my sent mail, sometimes the recipient doesn't receive it.

Thunderbird is up to date--version 31.5.0--and as far as I know nothing about my work email has changed, so I'm assuming something changed with the last Thunderbird update.

I love thunderbird but if this isn't resolved soon I'm going to have to find another email program.

Thunderbird is working correctly with my gmail account.

Please help!

I posted a similar issue and it appears in my case that the monkey admins have disabled IMAP/POP/smtp in outlook web access to office 365 (I can't even log in with Thunderbird). What a bunch of BS. The best solution is to stop using Microsloth products period.
