When I click on a link in an email in Thunderbird, it won't open it in a browser window. (I can copy the link and paste it manually into a browser, but this is time consuming and irritating!) Even using the "open link in a browser" command does nothing. Any ideas why this might be?

This happens in safe mode?

Yes, it doesn't seem to make any difference whether or not add-ons are disabled.
