Hi

You may be using the Beta of Firefox for Android 119, but the desktop version of Firefox that is installed on your computer appears to be version 25.

This version is several years old. I strongly recommend that you update to the most recent version so that you have the latest security and stability updates.

Yes I have the Beta version, but why identify the Beta Version as Firefox 25?

Since the original Firefox is installef in a way, that it can not removed (I would need root access to my SmartPhone) and for an unknown reason it can not updated, I installed the Beta version which is REGULARY updated.

How to solv the problem with the User-Agent string?

I have NO DESKTOP VERSION.

I am mobile on Android.

Android Version 9.1.0.456

Huawei does not provide any newer versions and introduced with the Last update from March 2022 tonns of errors and problems including non-removable Apps which fill-up my storrage without any reason (roughly 100 MByte a day)

Some specific add-ons (UA Switcher, Random UA, Google Search Fixer) can change the UA. Do you use any of these?

more options

No, because they do not exist for Android phones. I have never installed ANY addons on my mobile phone.

Someobe told me, that on android mobile devices the configs are shared between different versiobs of Firefox, (Firefox, Firefox Developer abd Nightly)

Is this true?

Because the old Firefox version, which I can not remove or update show Version 25 in the UA and the latest Firefox Beta too.

Why is this so?

How can someone test a new version, if it is not working as it should?

Thankyou for your Help

In your Question details this is the useragent your browser displayed to this forum

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0

As you can see it appears to be Firefox 25.0 on Windows 7 so your UA was modified in some way.
