I just migrated from Thunderbird to Apple Mail and Thunderbird seems to download them from the server even though I have checked "leave messages on server." My immediate need is to stop this! Can you help?

Chosen solution

A POP account will download messages from the server, and you have the option to delete from the server after download, or keep them on the server after download. The first option will happen if 'Leave messages on server' is unchecked. If it's checked, you should find the messages are still on the server when you access the account through webmail, even though they've been downloaded to TB. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. Did you migrate from TB to Mail, or vice versa?
