The 2503 and 2502 error messages are not descriptive. The messages are identical to the ones shown on the foxitsoftware.com page that you found. Your find of the foxit software solution resolved my install problem. In my case it was the C:\Windows\Temp folder permissions. After resetting the folder permissions and re-booting, the Mozilla VPN installed quickly. The VPN is very easy to use. On/off, location, devices, and launch at computer start y/n is it for VPN configuration. The VPN is external to Firefox so email an other internet apps are covered as well.
