When Thunderbird starts a message is displayed that an update is available, but there is no button or link to download or update. The link "view more information" leads nowhere. How can I update Thunderbird or get rid of this message?

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button , then select Help > About Mozilla Thunderbird
