Firefox has become unusable! one terrible update follows another, the search to replace firefox is on. A major Problem is incompatability of firefox with firebug and the total joke of trying to replace firebug with a built in inspector devoid of features. A related problem is that it does not work with WIX properly and other websites. Another major problem is browser slowness.

Lets summize the update achievements : Browser incompatibility with many websites, incompatibility with the best add on which used to give an edge to firefox and browser sluggisness. Great development team over there in Firefox!!! How about you fire all your freebe developers and get some people that can actually program.

OK i solved this problem, here are the steps for all you unhappy OSX Firefox users and developers : 1. delete firefox from applications, already feeling relieved ehh? 2.open terminal (from applications/utilities) 3. type into terminal this : //Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -p

now remove all firefox profiles. 4. download firefox 55 (any version after 55 is rubbish, thanks chris beard ..) 5. switch off internet !!!!! 6. double click firefox 56 and after installation open firefox 7.IMMEDIATELY go to preferences and disable automatic updating. 8.Enjoy your life again

The actual replacement for Firebug is to move to the Developer Edition : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/

And everything you are speaking of can be fixed provided you ask. Support Volunteers can't make changes to Firefox , but we can help you with troubleshooting your question.

Actualy the developer edition is as useless for developers as the new regular firefox, they tried to make their own firebug which sucks big time, for example the console output does not work with localhost !!!!!! what is the point of a developer browser? when a few add ons do the job better.

Windows 10 new Firefox crashes all the time, large office of developers they all complaint about new firefox... so it looks like some people must remove their head from inside their A (3 char word) and listen to users for a change.

This thing has MAJOR flows!
