More of an FYI than a request for support. Running Win7Pro.

I upgraded to FF 31.0 when FF 30 notified me (about an hour ago). After updating, I opened Photoshop CS3 to scan something. PS gave me a registration internet connection error and would not allow me to resubmit my key. Along with the PSCS3 reg issue, I could not close any tabs in FF, my sidebar was disabled, pretty much all my plugins were either malfunctioning or missing, as well as some bookmarks. The text was also painful to look at (Had Classic Theme Restorer already installed).

Restarted PC, same issues all round.

Downloaded and reinstalled FF30.0 and all problems disappeared - without restarting - including Photoshop suddenly working again.

Thank you for your question, however there was a new certificate manager called mozilla:pix that was released with the new version.

You can also try to toggle this pref to false on the about:config page.

   security.use_mozillapkix_verification = false

However since you already downgraded, you can change the update preferences: Configuration Options for Updates

It is also scans the profile to check if all the add ons are compatible with the latest version.Common Questions After Updating to New Firefox

I am also unable to open my CS5 apps since I updated to version 31.0.

As described above, I have tried modifying the config setting to false: security.use_mozillapkix_verification = false

I have uninstalled CS5.

I have downgraded to 30.0 I have completely uninstalled firefox and firefox profile info.

Reinstalled CS5. Still, all CS5 apps quit on launch.
