I looked at that and have no idea what any of that is or means. Looks like some sort of programmer conversation. The bottom line is I cannot reorder my tabs and I think something so basic and vital to the user experience should be fixed!

Totally agree with @allfourseasons.

Being able to re-order open tabs how I want to see them is something I would support.

I have the same issue. The latest update today (2020-12-23) flipped the order of my tabs so it goes bottom most recent to top oldest. That's contrary to what I had and there is no setting to change or fix it now. Please add back to tab settings!
