Since updating to 192.0.1, login to site does not work. 64-bit Windows 10.

Site is www.nytimes.com. After submitting credentials, nothing appears to happen.

I find myself unable to send the material on my google docs after declining to pay Vimeo their requested payment. Seems I cannot send anything successfully without this Vimeo in operation. Can you advise or fix the problem?

Is Firefox for Windows & MAC designed to uninstall old versions of standard, ESR, & Mozilla maintenance service apps? If so, then the assumption you have is that the install didn't execute properly, correct?

My Firefox updates automatically, often when I'm away from my computer. When I installed Firefox initially, I told it not to create a desktop shortcut, but apparently that note didn't get stored anywhere. Every time it updates, it creates a new desktop shortcut. Every time, I delete it. This is getting old.

I'm on a Windows 10 machine and my Firefox settings show that I've selected "Automatically install updates (recommended)" with the optional "When Firefox is not running" also selected. But I don't see anything that will prevent new desktop shortcuts from being created. How can I make it stop?

(And this is not a good answer.)

I have just installed the latest version of Firefox on my Windows laptop. I know am unable to log into my ebay account. I am asked to verify my identity, but get stuck on the page as it gives me no option to actually verify myself. See the attached screen shot

I can log in on Google Chrome, but don't want to.

Can you help?

I am noticing this for months if not years. Automatic update never works, first it claims that FF restart is required to install the update but when invoked FF never restarts automatically. Alternatively if FF is closed without invoking restart subsequent manual launch never starts the browser. Only the second manual launch opens the browser window which takes a small portion of the upper left corner of the screen and there's no Maximize button - instead the button is Restore and upon clicking the small window moves beyond the upper right corner of the screen putting the maximize button out of reach. So I have to somehow grab the title bar and move it to the view so I can finally maximize the window - very annoying. Upon checking the FF version remains the same, no update occurred. Invoking another update results in endless notification Updating FF. At some point there's a notification that I have to update FF manually by downloading an installer etc. This goes on and on over and over. Could this mean my FF is hijacked?

When i do update my configuration settings changing by itself. Example, "browser.cache.disk.enable" is "false" but after every updates its always changing to "true". This happens only after updates.

Helping a friend who is using Firefox without having a Mozilla profile/account who is upgrading to a new PC. - Is there a way to export her passwords to a file and restore to the new PC? Going from Win 7 to Win 11. - Otherwise, can she just create a Mozilla account on her old PC and turn Sync on to transfer to the new PC? I am assuming all her settings will be retained. Thank you very much for your time:-)

Forming paragraphs with left hand margin in block form. Whenever I type an outgoing message, the left hand margin gets chopped up. I want the margin to always be in "block" form, in the same manner as this paragraph, where the left-side margin sentence structure matches up. Right now, the computer is making the left hand margin non-existent.

I want outgoing messages to display as block form on the left side. It now ends up being chopped up with no particular margination. I have no idea where to go to choose this option.

On Weddnesday evening I switched on my desktop computer and was ligging into an on line drawing classsite which would give me access to a Class on Zoom when notification of an update for Firefox appeared on the screen. I think the message was that the update would be downloaded and then the computer would do a restart. I think the download occurred but not the restart. I was then logged onto the site and clicked to join the class. I was only on about 20 minutes as Zoom kept dropping outto the zoom login screen. After this happened about 5 times I gave up and switched the computer off. On Monday I logged onto aother zoom class via the came site and againthe Zoom class kept dropping me out to the login screen although a couple of times it went back in on its own. I have contacted the Zoom Help and seemed to be typing to a badly programmed AI robot and could not get it to understand I didn't want to know about setting up my mic and camera. Please be warned I'm retired and not good with electrons and IT speak etc.

This is a persistent issue for many a version. I've tried these config settings too and it still consistently-inconsistent resets it sometimes. app.update.auto (->false) app.update.auto.migrated (->false) app.update.enabled (->false) app.update.service.enabled (->false) DisableAppUpdate (->true)

It does this on closing hanging browser or on system power off (without closing browser manually). Also if setting is set to don't update -> close browser within a minute -> when reopened it is on autoupdate again.

For a number of months, I have not been able to update firefox to my Linux system. I download it and opened the downloaded file, opened various files, but nothing happens. I have tried using various methods to download and update it, but I continue to get a message that update is available. I'm currently using 121.0.1. I have a number of download files in my download folder, such as..."/home/jim/Downloads/firefox-128.0(1).tar.bz2" I tried to uninstall and reinstall "How to remove Mozilla Firefox from Ubuntu"

   sudo apt remove firefox.
   sudo rm -Rf /usr/bin/firefox.
   sudo rm -Rf /usr/loca/firefox.
   sudo snap remove firefox.

and then this "Install Firefox" First, add the Mozilla signing key $ sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 6DCF7707EBC211F. And then install the latest version of Firefox with this command: $ sudo apt install firefox. These commands seem to complete normally, but I continue to get "update available" messages. I give up. I've done everything I can think of. Help would be greatly appreaciated. Jim
