I'm using Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Is there a way to prevent Samsung Internet from changing my default browser from Firefox? This problem has recently cropped up. Some apps may have a link to a website in their menu. Even though I set Firefox to be the default, if I select one of those links, up pops the welcome screen for Samsung Internet. The default setting is now Samsung Internet again. It's quite annoying. I've posted to the Samsung community but haven't had a reply that works. I've tried everything that an experienced Android user would know, but nothing has worked. Thanks for any assistance!

Hey guys apparently I have opened a web site that instantly installed adware on my Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra 5G phone. I have installed AVG virus protection. I also have installed adblock app, and a Malware block app. Nothing works. I've tried the web fixes for Chrome. And Samsung Internet. Still nothing works. Anyone know how to fix this without resetting the phone back to factory.

is too slow.

tooooooooo slow. I waited 36.6s until http response for every new URL open! Of course, I am using a lot of Firefox extensions, but there were no serious problems outside of YouTube, and the same problem occurred after removing the extension, and i also confirmed that the problem caused by web extensions on waterfall(on firefox profiler) was minor.

I can't even guess the cause of the problem, so unfortunately there seems to be no additional information that I can give you. I'll keep following up as long as I can. Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! Thank you!

For the past couple of days the thumbnails on the youtube website has turned blank.

I have done some googling and have tried uninstalling extensions and restarting, I have cleared Cache/cookies and I've reinstalled the app alltogether. Nothing has so far has helped.

Any ideas?

i recently lost some data i want to get back, and this may be my last attempt, but is it by any chance stored here? and if it is, how do i transfer it back to my regular cache/cookies/data/bookmark folders

I tried to log in to my Firefox getting started page which used to just load. It now appears to need a log in which I try to do using my Gmail credentials. The password comes up as being incorrect which I know is not the case. If I try to change it I get as far as a Gmail code being sent to my account but when I enter that it says that is incorrect. I have not been able to load the getting started page since.

Your help utility needs help. -results don't show date, must open each item. Results seem to not be listed in date order. What a mess to sort through. I can't select a desired date range, or select by release version number. -your search tool isn't very effective, I keep getting unrelated results. I do better by searching google to find the help I want regarding Firefox.

My name is Grey, and I'm experiencing an issue using Firefox as a browser to open my Outlook mail. For the past three days I have not been able to open any emails as a network error screen appears. Using other devices and other browsers like Edge, the emails open fine, so it is not actually a network issue. This problem only occurs using Firefox, and specifically with Outlook emails. Everything else functions fine and I have not made any changes, besides the regular Firefox update. My computer is also up to date.

What can I do about this issue? I appreciate the advice,

Whenever I type in a website URL in the search-bar, first of all, the drop-down menu of related searches and websites does not show up. When I press enter to confirm that's where I want to go, nothing happens. The URL just kinda sits there, no loading circle or anything... Just a blank page. Only two of the icons on my toolbar works. The "Account" icon, which takes me to my Firefox settings. And my Extensions icon. Clicking the three little lines does nothing. The only websites i have been able to get to work at all are the settings page, and the Firefox troubleshooting page. I'm using Version 125.0.3, I tried using the browser both with and without hardware acceleration with results being unremarkably the same. I restarted Firefox and my computer multiple times to no avail, and the only thing I could find out of the ordinary was an error with Importing data from Microsoft Edge, which was not something I consciously wanted to do, but there was an error that popped up regarding that when i went to the settings page.

All that being said, I'm confused and at a loss for options, and could really use a Mozilla Staff member or someone who knows what they're doing to work me through this.

Why is Firefox autofilling the address bar with URLS I've never visited? There is a question on this from 5 years ago, with lots of suggestions. My problem is that Firefox is autofilling with sites that contain confidential login information.

I use a personal firewall. Every unknown program that attempts to access the network triggers a popup message requesting permission.

Right after the installation, Firefox.exe initiated a message, stating the following path: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". I granted access.

However, weeks after the installation, the updater.exe asked for permission, stating a very unusual path of itself. The path is "\device\harddiskvolume3\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Maintenance Service\update\updater.exe".

This seems unusual to me, since apps normally use 'C:\' to refer to harddiskdrive0. It is also suspect, since there are only two drives connected and the Disk Management tool (as an admin) indicates, that there are harddiskdrive0 and harddiskdrive1. There are no hard disk drives 2 or 3.

I also wondering about the fact, that the about firefox screen states, that firefox is up to date - even I did not granted access for the updater.exe in the past. There has never been a firwall rule to grant access for the updater.exe - how did it update in the past?

Does anybody have an idea what is happening?

I am migrating to a new phone. WhatsApp offered firefox as an option for storing its passkey. That took me to the connection and synchronisation process which the new phone said had failed. However all my tabs and other passwords appear to be syncing. Now selecting firefox to store the WhatsApp passkey takes me back to the failure page every time. Any idea how to restart the passkey addition to firefox process? WhatsApp won't work whilst I'm hung up in limbo between the two apps.

Hello Why getting a black mask and purple screen. I did not set private and security is in lower case and cant access. I want the normal screen with history that I can delete myself. Not sure if this is new or update caused this to change.thxs joseph

I reset a computer, deleting all my files. I want to use, as I do elsewhere, Firefox as my browser. And though I signed into Firefox using my old credentials, none of my bookmarks are there. How do I complete this setup?

Hi, I'm having issues with my Google search results page. It used to be very clean looking and mainly only showing the results of whatever I searched. Today though, I searched something and now the Google results are first showing Reddit answers, what others have asked, discussions and forums, what others have searched, short videos, etc. I have to scroll really far down just to get some normal search results. How can I fix this? Call me old school but I want the classic version back. Please help, I don't want to switch browsers. I've been using Firefox nearly since it's launch, since StumbleUpon days.
