Options revert to original settings every time I open Firefox how can i correct this problem V27.0

Every time I open Firefox 27.0 the options have reverted to there original settings. I have run virus and malware programs. Have have asked the company IT man. No one can fix this problem. Before I revert to a lower version of Firefox I am asking if anyone else has had this problem.
