firefox does not start

i have upgraded, still no start, reinitiation does not work without the Firefox window, which is not available without a startup.... i would not like to uninstall and loose all settings and history. what should i do?

hello, do you get until the safemode window when you press the shift key while you attempt to launch firefox?
