My employer's instructions say to go to CSS on the web developer tool bar, click on "disable styles" then "all styles". I only have 2 choices on the drop-down menu when I click on CSS and neither are "disable styles".

hello, you could press the alt-key and go to view > page style > no style or use an addon like https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/quickjava/ to quickly toggle the preference...

Do you have the Web Developer extension installed? That is what your boss is talking about.
